Please note: the events described here are typical of Bragg Creek Days in the past. The actual schedule of events may be different.

Bragg Creek Days has entertained thousands of children and adults with great summer fun for more than 40 years and this year the tradition continues. The Bragg Creek Community Association and the Chamber of Commerce will host this annual summer event, bringing the small community alive with the sights, sounds and joys of this four-day festival.

Celebrations start on Thursday with a Family Movie Nite featuring the Disney Pixar comedy adventure “UP”; a tale about a 78-year-old balloon salesman and an 8-year-old Wilderness Explorer on their hilarious journey into a lost world, as the least likely duo on Earth.

As an official kick-off to Bragg Creek Days this year, the BCCA is proud to be hosting an outdoor barbecue and a free concert to the Bragg Creek Community featuring Marc Ekins and the Ultimate StageCoach Tour. The Ultimate StageCoach tour is a 2 month, 30 city National tour raising money for Kids Cancer Care across the country. Marc is working in conjunction with the Coast to Coast against Cancer Foundation, assisting them in raising money to help children with cancer and their families receive proper treatment, maintain family proximity and be able to attend special camps that meet their health and emotional needs. It is a wonderfully rewarding experience and will mean a world of difference to the whole family. All of the money raised at the Bragg Creek Days concert will be donated directly to Easter Seals Camp Horizon, located here in Bragg Creek.

bike paradeMarc Ekins has been performing across Canada, the United States, Europe and the Caribbean islands. He has opened for great Canadian artists such as Great Big Sea, The Road Hammers, Aaron Pritchett, Chris Cummings, Julian Austin, and Amy Skye just to name a few. His high energy and eclectic mix of music, (rock, country, blues, folk, Celtic and swing) makes for a show that covers a large demographic of music fans. Fast paced and fun, the audience is swept up in the show, and Marc works hard to get them dancing and singing along. Marc’s original songs have gotten rave reviews from fair and festival goers all over North America. Mixing in a group of cover tunes that compliments his originals, Marc’s show is an exciting work of art. The evening would not be complete without the traditional bike decorating for all of the children wishing to partake in the parade the next morning, as well as a fireworks display to complete the show.
