The Third Annual Scarecrow Festival

The life of a Bragg Creek scarecrow is a difficult one. The weight of the world bears down on your shoulders squishing you into a lump. The wind and weather beat you up, and worse, vandals will do the same. This year a radar patrol policeman on Centre Avenue, near the beginning of our nice new recreation trail, got pummeled by someone with a golf club. He got restored, but was a little worse for wear. The event organizer said there were more scarecrows than ever and they were scattered around Bragg Creek, Redwood Meadows and Springbank. There were even a couple out by the Highway 8 Traffic Circle. This is a collection of the ones I found.
