Open May 11 to Oct. 14 as of August 2013 (Time and Dates may change) There are two picnic tables there and nicely tended grounds that surround the office with lots of parking. They have a pay phone. There is one of the modern outdoor toilets on the grounds. There isn’t much to see there. It is currently used as a waste disposal site including RV toilet dump, but they are building a big new facility a little further down the road which should open in 2013. The info centre is on high ground a fair distance from the river. These two characteristics saved it from any damage. The same applies to most of the rest of the valley. The worst damage occurred on low lying land along the shoreline of the Elbow River. Some trails with poor drainage also suffered some serious damage. Conservation Officers have closed some trails and advised caution on others where natural hazards exist.

  This isn’t a very scenic location for lunch, but it is pretty quiet and there is space for kids to play which isn’t the case in many other day use areas.

  

• Outdoor Toilet

  This is one of the modern style toilets. Although it is difficult to make outdoor toilets comfotable and attractive. This one is pretty clean and as nice as it gets.

  

• Information Centre

  The centre is open during the summer only. It is well maintained and the staff, who are provincial employees, are knowledgeable and helpful.
