In the fall of 2013 the “My Favourite Store” lady came up with a brilliant idea to hold a Scarecrow Festival. It was a wonderful antidote to the depressing effects of the flood in June and gave us a chance to express our creativity. They were mostly funny, but they were also bawdy, poignant, scary and cute. They started popping up all over the place, surprising and delighting.
